Primary Objectives of Position:

• Gather data and work with growers to make agronomic decisions to maximize their profits
• Assist in helping achieve the cooperative’s mission statement and goals
• Perform all tasks with excellent customer service
• Abide by all federal, state, and cooperative policies and procedures

Responsibilities of the Position:*

• General understanding of the development stages and nutritional requirements of multiple crops
• Scout customer’s fields and assess pest pressure and nutritional status
• Understand crop protectants, rates, and how they are used.
• Sample for soil fertility and use the information to make fertility and lime recommendations.
• Use programs to generate scouting reports, recommendations, Nutrient Management plans, field maps, and other pertinent reports.

Qualifications:*

• A two-year degree in agriculture or a related field is a requirement. A four-year degree in agriculture or a related field is preferred
• Be able to work outdoors in variable conditions on a daily basis
• Commitment to seasonal hours a must.
• Be able to bend, twist, lift 25 pounds or more, and walk on a consistent basis.

• Great verbal and written communication skills is a must
